Oct 3, 2020, Sunday Rainy

It was raining outside when I got up early in the morning. It's too bad, I had to go to school by bus. I said to myself. It was almost seven o'clock before I left home. I put on my raincoat and ran to the bus stop in a hurry, for I thought a lot of people might be waiting there. Hardly had I got there when a bus was coming. I got on the bus immediately, hoping it was possible for me to take a seat. I saw an empty seat and took it. But I found an old lady standing behind me. I stood up at once and was about to ask her to take the seat when a young girl in a modern skirt made a dive for it. I could hardly believe it. I glared at her, thinking“What bad manners! She cares for nobody but herself. Won't she grow old in the future?”

this evening i went to the ktv with some of my good friends.

this was the first time that i had been to a ktv. at first i didn't want to go. i had been in a bad mood the whole afternoon because i didn't do well in the math exam. at the ktv, everybody sang his favourite songs very happily except me. i was the only one of the audience.

i didn't dare to have a try. because i was afraid that i couldn't sing well. encouraged by my classmates, i picked up the microphone and sang an english song "i believe i can fly"

i have become cheerful now and above all i've regained selfconfidence. i believe that the worst enemy in one's life is oneself. i shouldn't lose heart just because of one or two failures. because i still have chances to try.

Because in my mother’s office, I had nothing to do. If I did nothing, I was wasting my time and my life. I can’t do the foolish thing. We should take good use of our time.

After school I went home for supper. When I got home， I found my mother lying in bed. She was ill. My father was away from home on business. “What shall I do？ ”I thought to myself.

Since Mother was ill， I must take good care of her. So I decided to try cooking by myself. I did the cooking with great difficulty and it got burnt at last.

I had thought Mother would never like it. But I had to ask my mother to have supper. To my joy， Mother praised me for the meal I had cooked. She said， “It tastes delicious. I’m very pleased with it. ”

I know that Mother is encouraging me to do more by myself.
