一.如何把握托福听力出题点
如何准确把握托福听力的出题点?相信是广大中国考生最迫切想知道的信息。其实我们很多同学都被听力“时间长、内容深”的表象所唬住了。如果我们鼓起勇气深入“虎穴”就不难发现,托福听力材料有它可循的内在规律。这些规律是什么呢?
不论对话还是课堂讲座,都是“开门见山”, 听力的 topic 在一开始的前几句中一定会出现;
对话的核心是:解决问题,因此我们就要搞清学生的问题是什么(这是 topic,一定会在开篇提到),以及教师或教职工提供的解决方案是什么;
讲座的核心是:概念及概念解释;概念是 topic,也会在开篇讲到;概念解释一般分为两种方式(分论点形式或举例说明);
无论是对话中的问题及解决方案还是讲座中概念及其解释,都构成了听力材料“一拖二”的结构形式。
以上,便是托福听力材料的规律性。了解这些内容可以帮助我们在做题时更好的把握听力内容的信息点和内容进行情况。从整体理解听力内容对进一步细致地理解帮助是大大的。因为听力出题几乎是从这几个方面入手并深入考查的。
听力对话和讲座整体的内容信息是上文所提到的几点,那么怎么判断出来这些信息点呢?当我们能够判断出来时,几乎题目的一半我们已预判出来了。讲到判断的方法,我们必须要提到“修辞提示”(rhetoric cues)这个概念。
所谓“修辞提示”(rhetoric cues),通俗的来讲就是重要新的提示点。这些提示点一般是提问、强逻辑连接词、强语气词等。我相信同学们一定听过很多老师都在讲,问答之间出考点,因果转折后有考点。是的,没错!这一点非常正确,问答之间一定会有考点出现,因果转折后必有考点出现!还有一些语气比较强烈的语气词后面的信息也是很重要,很有可能就是出题点。这一点同学们也要记住,比如说 right!Ddefinitely! 等等,这些词后面往往是教授想要强调和重申或解释的信息。我们再重复一下,听力中这三点常常是考点出现的前兆:

二.托福听力题型解析
分析托福听力的 34 道题目,我们可以概括出 8 大题目类型和 3 大类题型:
基本理解型
内容主旨题 目的主旨题 细节信息题
情景理解型
句子功能题 说话人态度题
整合信息型
组织结构题 连接内容题 推论题
从以上的分类我们可以看出,托福听力很侧重我们对听力组织结构、逻辑关系和内容推论的理解能力(细节题目属于少数),而不会把着眼点太多的放在信息内容本上。
主旨类题目考查我们对听力材料核心的理解,因此多数会在开篇出找到答案;
功能性或结构性题目我们要注意这个信息点的作用是什么,一般会涉及上下文的逻辑关系,因此逻辑关系提示词(表因果、转折、对比等等)
推论提和态度题,需要我们在听的过程中注重说话人的语气和所说内容与上下句的内在关系;这里大家要注意强语气词和提问的地方。
